England have beaten Australia by 197 runs with a day to spare in the fifth Test at The Oval to regain the Ashes. The breakthrough came when Andrew Flintoff ran out Rick Ponting just as he was forming a useful partnership with Mike Hussey that could have caused England problems. Steve Harmison proved his worth by getting three wickets and Graeme Swann's 4 wickets to add to his 4 from the first innings, showed that Australia's decision to leave out a spinner cost them the Ashes.
Andrew Strauss said, "It's hard to know what to say right now - it's an emotional moment, these things never come easily. At times we thought we'd never get there, but we've done it"
